A Helping Hand When you Need It Most

Highland Area Christian Service Ministry (HACSM) is a Christian ministry of encouragement and assistance to those in need based in Highland, Illinois.

Food Distribution

Hours of Operation

**Drive Thru Service Only

    - Tuesdays - 9am-12:15pm

    - Thursdays - 9am-12:15pm

    - 1st & 3rd Saturday

       Each Month - 9am-12:15pm

 

Case Management & Office Hours

Monday - Thursday

8:30am-12:15pm

 

Food Assistance

Approved households may use the pantry two (2) times per month.

Once – 1st thru 15th of month
Once – 16th thru end of month

Approved households may receive one voucher per month.

Emergency Utility & Rent Assistance

 We help people deal with emergency housing crisis situations, including utility costs, so they are not faced with imminent homelessness.  Our staff will also work with the client to provide counseling and support in an effort to avert any future emergencies from occurring.

Other Services

  • Small household items – No Furniture
  • Assistance in applying for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)/food stamps and Medical Card
  • Counseling to help families and/or individuals cope with stressful life situations
  • License Plate Discount applications
  • Assistance is available for those attending school to better their employment skills
  • Assistance with resumes and job-search resources
  • Assistance with LIHEAP applications
  • Other Special Programs

HACSM SERVICE AREA

The HACSM service area includes the Highland School District
plus the area east of State Rt 4 in Madison County. The cities include:

Highland
Grantfork
Alhambra
New Douglas
Pierron
St. Jacob
Marine

*Rent, Utilities, Gas Vouchers and other programs may be limited to the Highland School District, Marine & St. Jacob.
